Campaign Connecting
Are you involved in a church, school, trade union branch, voluntary, student, youth or community group?

Do you have links with similar groups in developing countries or would you be interested in setting them up?

If yes, read on.

Our exiting new link-up project is now underway. We are promoting the exchange of news, views and experiences by pairing up e-mail partners to discuss debt-connected and campaigning issues. We send out regular briefings to participants containing ideas for discussion, and we ask that any valid exchanges be forwarded to us so we can post them here on the website for everyone's interest.

In creating these link-ups we hope to encourage people to gather firsthand information about the lives of individuals and the progress of local, small-scale campaigns in those countries most effected by debt. Grassroots information is what we are looking for - something to give us greater insight into and a renewed perspective on the debt issue.

Two link-ups have been established so far and, although it is still early days, the response has been very encouraging. To read about the Elgin - Uganda link from Jenny Adams, click here.

Obviously more link-ups means greater impact. This is a great opportunity to deepen your personal understanding of the issues at stake, and at the same time actively do something 'hands - on' to help us all in the campaign to drop the debt. Go on, give it a try! Email Doug at Jubilee Scotland for more info or to request guidelines for group with links/groups without existing links.
