FACE UP TO WORLD DEBT

Jubilee Scotland is calling on you to support our campaign for the cancellation of the debts of the world's poorest countries by adding to a national Face up to World Debt photo-petition.
For this to make an impact we need schools, churches, community groups and interested individuals across Scotland to make their own photo-petitions.

We want you to collect the photos and send them to your MP. The idea is to swamp Scottish MPs and their party leaders with photos so that they have to take action.

Many famous figures have supported the campaign. Click here to find out who...

How to make a photo petition
To create a Face up to World Debt photo petition we suggest you take head and shoulder photos of you and your fellow supporters. You can use these easy to follow steps:

1. To provide a frame for your photos, mount a Face up to World Debt poster on some card and cut out the printed face montage. Contact the office for your poster and campaign materials.

2. Write "Name of Indvidual Says:" on a piece of paper and stick it to the bottom of the poster.

3. Ask supporters to put their head through the poster and snap their picture it should look like this!

Once You've Collected Your Photos
Before you hand over your photos to your MP why not hold an exhibition of your photo-petition in your local church, library, school or church hall?

Handing Over the Petition
Either send the photos or hand them over in person to your MP with a letter outlining your concerns. See the take action section for help with this. You might like to organise a hand in event and contact your local newspaper to get press coverage.

Campaign Pack
If you haven’t got a copy of our campaign pack, which tells you how and why we are petitioning MPs get in touch with the office. We can also offer advice and tips on lobbying.
