-No debts will be cancelled as a result of the G8 debt deal until the World Bank and IMF pass it as policy in September.

- However, the World Bank and IMF are seriously threatening the gains made in Gleneagles by proposing radical changes that could leave the worlds' poor at the continued mercy of the international financial institutions.

- Write to UK representatives at World Bank (Hilary Benn) and IMF (Gordon Brown) demanding nothing less than the G8 deal!
